Public Works has contracted with a company to begin installing brick patterned crosswalks along Ponce de Leon Ave., W. Howard Ave. and S. Candler St. (see list below) on Sunday, January 24. The work will consist of saw cutting, milling of the roadway and applying the hot mix. The work is estimated to take 4 to 5 days.
Jan. 22 update: Due to predicted rain on Sunday, the crosswalk construction scheduled to begin this Sunday has been slightly altered. Work scheduled for Sunday on Clairemont and Ponce de Leon Avenue will be done tomorrow. This change allows the finish work to be done early next week as originally planned.
